Gold Pack serves no purpose

Back a year ago when Hackforge acquired the European Aion userbase, they said something like “gold pack will prevent bots and goldsellers etc”, implying the system would prevent that and also provide the support staff for it and a better customer service. The GP costs 10 euro/month ($13).

I see our money is put to good use preventing botters and goldselling, and not just inflating their income with this bullshit model, the worst in the entire history of Aion publishers: pay-to-win + required subscription + botting + goldselling + no GM staff + no customer service.


In-game surveys, US NC vs Hackforge

Hackforge:

Spams users with in-game surveys to direct them to their cash shop, most times without any special event or bonus, just a reminder that they can buy stuff at the shop. This while the European version managed by hackforge has a subscription fee (through gold pack, 10 euro), is Pay-2-win, allows hackers and botters, has nothing you could call customer service, GMs who play the game abusing their powers, their staff keeps threatening and banning users in the forums for no good reasons and behave like a dictatorship built by their abusive practices, showing a complete lack of respect towards the players who pay for their wages.

NA Aion:

Sometimes gives a survey to remind players about the Atlas feature, which is free, through which they can claim lots of useful and free rewards like manastones, dyes, enchant stones, some beginner pvp jewels: http://gameguide.na.aiononline.com/aion/atreian#ElyosPath
At the same time, they are comepletely free, no hidden subscription, great support, polite and kind mods and customer support staff who treat players as people.

Something goes wrong with the servers, reboot, some bug etc, what do they do?

Hackforge: one or more of the following:

  • Deny any issues
  • Blame it on the players
  • Ignore it
  • Threat and ban users who complain in the forums
  • Give absolutely no reward
  • Take no responsibility
  • Find any worthless and ridiculous excuse why it happened

Hackforge staff: “our computers have viruses”

What hope is left for our accounts security when the staff themselves admit to not being able to secure their own computers? They have mod and admin powers to manage your account, with the forum and game account being linked and the same.

Then someone gets their game account hacked, and the staff is quick to point fingers elsewhere “our systems are safe, you probably got trojans or bought gold or used hacking apps”, while it’s more than apparent for already 15 months of “service” their systems are the most unsafe I’ve ever seen in the history of mmo publishers.

don’t install Java unless you really need it. That whole thing is just a big mess. Someone can even mess up your registry entries through that.

I don’t think I’ve read such a nonsensical noobish rubbish comment like that for a very very long time, this guy screams of “I know as much about computers and stuff as a rat”. This is one of the support staff banning forum and game accounts under “multi-accounting” offenses, none of which he was ever able to prove to anyone.

Got this from a friend earlier. He was simply asking for the new arena times GF specifically set after the recent update, they should know.. right? seems not.

Furthermore, they don’t even check server logs for hack reports or anything, while they claim they do, there is more than enough evidence they don’t: they always ask for screenshots and videos even for reports about insults, if you don’t send a screenshot they say they can’t do anything, but won’t admit to not having the skills to check the server logs. As it stands, 3v3 and chaos arenas are completely immune to cheaters.

Gameforge censoring the truth and silencing the players again

There was a heated debate recently over the well known lower drop rates we have in Europe compared to the US NC version, here:

Few users started posting their results matching my tests (http://rainy.ws/2013/04/23/european-drop-rates/), specially evident today with the shugo instance.

The mods as usual banned a few users and locked the thread with their usual lies and no more replies allowed: “Droprates in NA and EU are the same”.

Did a little test today:

I mentored an elyos char from 1 to 7 in Poeta, from the start up to the end of the zone, first in a US server, then in a Euro one (Gameforge), and looted only white and green items.

GF always denied having lower rates than what we had with NC and what they currently have in the US, going as far as -BANNING- users in the forums who even suggest otherwise, with reasons like “spreading lies about gameforge”, and then threatening with closing your game account if you insist. But here you have it, downright facts. Gameforge behave like a dictatorship or mafia, silencing users and abusing their Euro presence to rake in on users’ misery.

It’s really sad to see our beloved game in the hands of these parasites, destroying the game in Europe bit by bit.
